# Schema.org

Schema.org is a collaborative vocabulary for structured data on the web, launched in 2011 by Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and Yandex. Types such as Organization, Article or Person can be embedded as JSON-LD. Search engines use it to disambiguate entities; it does not by itself guarantee rich results.
